A safe space to talk.

Face-to-face therapy, in Birmingham, adapted to suit your needs.

I’m here to support people in their time of need. Whether you’re struggling with your mental health, your emotions, or your relationships, I can provide a space for you to talk. I work with a wide range of issues as I see everyone as a whole person, more than just a diagnosis or label.

The style of therapy I use works with people holistically: exploring thoughts, feelings, actions and beliefs all placed within the broader context at the time. This style is for anyone who is new to trying therapy, anyone who may have had CBT or other NHS based treatment and found it useful but brief, anyone who has had previous therapy but is looking to work with someone new.

I believe in the power of therapy for change and growth, and look forward to the opportunity to be a part of that with others.

Sessions are £55 (50 minutes) and typically occur at the same day and time weekly.

Long Term Therapy

I enjoy working with clients on a long-term basis as I believe that meaningful and long lasting change can be slow to evolve, but it is in a safe therapeutic relationship that this real change can occur. Open-ended long term therapy uses regular reviews of agreed goals, but without a time limit or time pressure, allowing for a truly individual process.

Short Term Therapy

Short-term therapy can be a fantastic option for transitional moments in life: needing support to change job; looking to understand a particular behaviour more; or simply when there are financial constraints on the length of therapy. I often see short-term therapy as a steppingstone of support, just knowing that there is help available can be comforting.

About Me

I have developed my approach to therapy through training, personal experience, and professional practice. I have a masters in Integrative Psychotherapy, completing three years of practice at St Martin’s Counselling and Psychotherapy in the centre of Birmingham. I now practice independently in Digbeth. This is where I have adapted my style to be dynamic and flexible with each individual I meet, and where my personal exploration has allowed me to better know what I bring to the therapeutic relationship. I have worked with people covering a broad range of topics including depression, anxiety, sexuality, addiction, relationship problems, self esteem, and more.

Prior to being a counsellor, I worked in a psychiatric unit specialising in eating disorder treatment. This gave me a knowledge of mental health in a clinical, hospital setting, which has informed my perspective of valuing the complexity of every individual and the need for a holistic approach to wellbeing.
